Bancoomeva

Bancoomeva, member of The Coomeva Group, is working in the approval process to become a Bank in 2010, so they can compete into this market with new financial instruments. This change meant more and better services through the Intenet channel to fulfill the demanding expectations of the Colombian market, including a series of regulatory compliances to become a bank.

To meet these new challenges, and with the clear objective maximize the amount of web transactions, Coomeva Financiera contacted BTS Colombia, Azuan®'s Business Process Improvement channel, to design a strategy to secure end point access to the transactional portal, taking into account the following expectations of each segment:

• Personal Banking: The solution must deliver a safe access to the transactional site scenario, adding an isolated virtual keyboard, so that the vulnerabilities associated to identity theft are disabled during the process of authentication and delivery of information.
• Corporate Banking: In addition to the resources provided for Personal Banking, a PC is registered to the authentication process, so that transactions can take place only from registered machines, increasing the robustness of the process. This registration is supported by Azuan® AztartX and Azuan® AZHWID, so the user should not have administrative privileges on the local PC.
• VIP Clients: A virtual token (Azuan® Azula) will be given to this group of customers. This way a One Time Password (OTP) will be involved in the authentication process. This OTP will be generated on demand into the customer's mobile phone.
